Software license terms
Default Cover Page for direct plugin licenses from Component K OÜ, incorporating the Common Paper Software License Agreement Standard Terms (Version 1.1).
How these terms work
Direct licenses from Component K OÜ use the Common Paper Software License Agreement (Version 1.1). A Cover Page (Key Terms + Order Form) identifies the parties and commercial Variables. That Cover Page incorporates the Standard Terms by reference. Changes belong on the Cover Page, not in the Standard Terms text.

- Local copy for review (Markdown): /legal/common-paper-standard-terms-1.1.md
- German translation for convenience: /legal/common-paper-standard-terms-1.1.de.md — if translations conflict, the English Standard Terms prevail.

Order Form defaults
Monthly subscription (direct)
- Software: the Shopware 6 plugin named on the Order Form (for example Advanced Cart Flows or Customer Verification Documents), delivered as a ZIP for installation in Customer’s Shopware instance.
- Subscription Period: one (1) month, auto-renewing unless either party gives notice of non-renewal at least fourteen (14) days before the period ends.
- Fees: the monthly price stated on the Order Form (site list prices are offers, not a binding Order Form).
- Payment Process: invoice; payment due within fourteen (14) days of invoice date.
- Permitted Uses: Customer’s internal business purposes for the shop domains listed on the Order Form.
- License Limits: installation only on the production and staging domains listed on the Order Form.
- Warranty Period: thirty (30) days from delivery of the Software version covered by that Order Form.
- Services: email support and Updates during each paid Subscription Period.
- Deletion Procedure: uninstall the plugin and delete copies of the Software binaries from Customer systems after the license ends, except one archival copy if required by Applicable Laws.
Lifetime license (direct)
What a lifetime license includes:
- Everything included with the Shopware Store listing for that plugin (same Software features), plus three (3) years of Updates from the Order Date; further Updates depend on market conditions and are at Provider’s discretion.
- Tech support as described in the Lifetime Support & Updates Schedule below.
- Up to thirty percent (30%) discount on future Component K Flow Builder plugins purchased directly from Provider (not via the Shopware Store), while Customer holds an active lifetime license for at least one Component K plugin.
- Software: as above.
- Subscription Period: perpetual right to use the delivered versions for the Shopware 6 generation stated on the Order Form. Modifying Sections 1.6 and 4.1 of the Standard Terms: this Order Form does not auto-renew, the license to use delivered versions does not expire solely due to time, and Updates are governed solely by the Lifetime Support & Updates Schedule below.
- Fees: one-time fee stated on the Order Form.
- Payment Process: invoice; payment due within fourteen (14) days of invoice date (or before delivery if the Order Form requires prepaid Fees).
- Permitted Uses / License Limits / Warranty Period / Deletion Procedure: same structure as monthly, as filled on the Order Form.
- Services: Maintenance, Support, and Updates as in the Lifetime Support & Updates Schedule below (Additional Terms on the Cover Page).
Additional Terms — Lifetime Support & Updates Schedule
These Additional Terms apply when the Order Form selects a lifetime (perpetual) license. They modify Section 1.6 (Updates) of the Standard Terms and prevail over conflicting defaults for Services and Updates.
- Updates Window (3 years). For thirty-six (36) months from the Order Date, Provider will make available Updates that Provider generally releases for the licensed Software and Shopware 6 generation. After thirty-six (36) months, continued Updates depend on market conditions, Shopware platform changes, and product viability, and are provided at Provider’s sole discretion (or under a separate agreement). New major platform generations (for example a future Shopware 7 rewrite) are not Updates.
- Initial Support Period (Year 1). For twelve (12) months from the Order Date, Provider will provide reasonable email support for the licensed Software without a ticket cap.
- Limited Support Period (Years 2–4). For the following thirty-six (36) months, Provider will provide up to five (5) support tickets per twelve-month period.
- After four years. After the Initial Support Period and Limited Support Period end, support is not included unless the parties agree in writing.
- Ticket. A “ticket” is one discrete support request that Provider closes. Bug reports that Provider confirms as reproducible defects in a supported version within the Updates Window do not count toward the cap.
- Continued use. Customer remains entitled to use the last delivered version of the Software after Updates or support end, subject to the license grant and restrictions in the Agreement.
Additional Terms — Shopware Platform & Operations
These Additional Terms apply to all direct licenses (monthly and lifetime) and supplement Sections 2, 4, 5, and 7 of the Standard Terms:
- Standard Shopware environment. Updates and warranties are tested against a standard, unmodified Shopware 6 installation of the supported version range. Provider is not responsible for incompatibilities or side effects caused by third-party extensions, custom themes, modified core files, or server environments outside Shopware’s system requirements, nor is Provider obliged to keep every Update compatible with customized setups.
- Customer operations and backups. Customer is solely responsible for installing the Software and Updates, testing them in a staging environment before production use, and maintaining regular, verifiable backups. Provider’s liability for data loss is limited to the typical recovery effort that would have remained necessary had Customer maintained proper backups (and remains subject to Section 7 of the Standard Terms).
- Current version requirement. Support and defect remedies apply only to the current release of the Software (or the immediately preceding minor release for a reasonable transition period).
- License verification. Non-Store builds of the Software may transmit the licensed domain name and license identifier to Provider’s servers to verify that the installation matches an active Order Form. If verification fails after reasonable notice, Provider may disable storefront or admin functionality of the Software until the license is brought into compliance.
- Continued use after termination. If a monthly subscription ends and Customer continues to run the Software in violation of Section 4.5 (Effect of Termination), Customer remains liable for the ongoing monthly Fee for each month (or part of a month) of unauthorized use, without establishing a new license right.
Shopware Store purchases
Licenses bought through the Shopware Store remain governed by Shopware’s store terms and the listing for that extension. This page applies to direct licenses from Component K OÜ only.
